1.) Course Description:
Library Science on the third grade level is designed to enable the students to begin to use the library 
resources independently while continuing to enhance their appreciation of books.

v     Select books on their reading level and interest.
v     Use proper library etiquette.
v     Use the encyclopedia both print and online.
v     Locate books on the shelves using the card catalog.
v     Introduce Dewey Decimal System.
v     Recognize the Caldecott and Newberry Awards.
v     Label parts of books.
v     Use periodicals as a source of entertainment and information.
v     Use educational websites.
v     Use the computerized catalog. (OPAC)
v     Read newspapers both for enjoyment and educational purposes.

v  No actual text; books are selected from library collection and various independent sources.
