Dear Parents/Guardians:
If your child has failed two or more Belle Vernon Area Middle School core academic courses that will hinder them from being promoted to the next grade, then they will receive a notice in the mail by June 13, 2022. Students may only fail one core course and avoid retention. Please call or email Mr. Grice or Mrs. Margaronis with questions and concerns.
Due to the last two unfortunate school-years that the pandemic has caused for so many students and families, the Belle Vernon School District is willing to reimburse families for one (1) credit recovery course if students earn a “C” grade or higher . However, families must pay the initial registration fee, and present the invoice to the district once the transcript of the credit recovery course is received and presented to the school counseling office.
Students can enroll in any of the credit recovery options linked below. Please search for the most popular options from the Keystone School Credit Recovery Course Catalog or eAcademy Credit Recovery Course Catalog for the course(s) failed this school year.

How to register for eAcademy: http://bit.ly/eAcademyCreditRecovery ; or email heath.curran@bvasd.net
Students must complete eAcademy online courses by July 22, 2022 and must submit paper packets to the Keystone School no later than August 6, 2022 in order to be promoted in time for the 2022-2023 school year.
We do not want any child to be retained. Please consider this much needed second opportunity to help continue your son/daughter’s educational journey in the Belle Vernon Area School District.
