  • ***Important Prom Update***

The Belle Vernon Area High School Prom has been moved from Friday, May 14, 2021 to Saturday, May 8, 2021. The new venue is The Fez, located near Hopewell High School.

The reason for the move is so that we can accommodate a larger group of students. That being said, there are still size restrictions being implemented for the prom on May 8th. At this time, we are able to have 240 students.  This over 200 more students than the Summit Inn.

Moving forward, we will start with the senior class attendees and the current junior prom committee, and then open it up to the rest of the junior class. It should be noted that you have to had been a member of the prom committee prior to this announcement.

Senior students only will be permitted to bring non-BVA guests at this time. As we move forward, it will open up to the prom committee and then the remaining junior class. This will be dependent on the number of students planning to attend. Again, we need to keep it below 240 people.

If you are a senior and bringing a NON-BVA guest, please fill out this form IN ITS ENTIRETY prior to purchasing tickets:

Tickets will be sold for the senior class and junior prom committee from Wednesday, March 17th – Wednesday March 24th during lunches 6, 8, and 10. Tickets will also be sold after school from 2:30-3:00PM.

Any remaining tickets will be sold March 25th – March 31st after school from 2:30-3:15.

ALL students planning to attend must complete the Prom Contract, found here:

With ticket purchase, each student will receive TWO complimentary Grand March tickets. Grand March will be held at James Weir Stadium on May 8th, WEATHER PERMITTING. In the event of rain, Grand March will be LIVESTREAMED from the auditorium, and no observers will be permitted in the building.

By following the guidelines, we can ensure that our students have both a memorable and safe prom experience.

Further information regarding seating charts and food allergies will be forthcoming, and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

You may also check the BVA Prom Committee page for any updates.
