    The Belle Vernon Area Student Government Association is made up of elected representatives and at-large members chosen by the council for each class in addition to a student council club.

    The members of the Executive Council meet twice a month afterschool on Fridays in room 101.  The Student Council Club meets twice a month on Thursdays afterschool in the Library.
    During Friday Interventions the council members also sell coffee and school approved snacks for BVA students.
    If any student at BVA would like to voice a question, problem or concern at an upcoming meeting, please contact sponsor, Christin Maatta at christin.maatta@bellevernonarea.net for an interview and to be placed on the agenda or complete the student opinion form by clicking the link on the homepage.
    Elections for incoming Freshman will be held throughout the day in all Civics classes on Thursday, September 11.  Only Freshman students are permitted to vote.  Winning candidates will be posted on this website once al votes are counted at 2:30 p.m.  Winning candidates are expected to attend the Friday morning meeting.
    The members of the BVA FAST Council are currently reviewing and amending the bi-laws, please check back for approved bi-laws.   Members will also conduct several fundraisers throughout the school year which will assist in sending students to conferences, Teacher Appreciation Week and various school activities.  Check back for field trip/fundraiser opportunities.
